Peugeot 3008 - compact front-wheel drive crossover, European "Car of the Year 2017". The premiere of the second generation model took place in October 2016 at the Paris Motor Show. The five-door was based on the EMP2 (Efficient modular platform 2) modular platform, which is also used in the current hatchback. Peugeot 308.

If the “first” 3008 left a reason for disputes about its class affiliation, then in the second iteration the French clearly identified the model as a crossover. The overall length is increased compared to the previous generation by 82 mm (4447 mm), the wheelbase - by 62 mm (2675 mm), and the ground clearance - by 45 mm (219 mm). At the same time, the width (1841 mm) and height (1624 mm with roof rails) remained practically unchanged, and the curb weight decreased by an average of 100 kg, depending on the modification and equipment. As a result, the new Peugeot 3008 received a slightly more spacious trunk (520 liters for the new versus 512 liters for the previous one) and became more spacious both in front and in the second row, especially in the knees.

However, the increased ground clearance and more "off-road" design did not become a sign of a full-fledged all-wheel drive - so far, the 3008 is available exclusively with front axle wheel drive. Partially, this feature of the “Frenchman” is compensated by the Grip Control system, which simulates a differential lock on unstable surfaces - sand, mud or snow. It is available as an option for the petrol version and is included in the basic equipment of diesel 3008s for the Ukrainian market.

The second-generation Peugeot 3008 European range includes 1.2-liter (131 hp) and 1.6-liter (165 hp) petrol turbo engines, as well as 1.6-liter (99 and 120 hp) and 2.0-liter diesel engines ( 150 hp and 181 hp). Transmissions - six-speed "mechanics" or "automatic" from Aisin of a similar range.

The following engines are provided for the Ukrainian market:

• 1.6 THP petrol turbo unit with 150 hp and maximum torque of 240 Nm;
• turbodiesel 2.0 HDi with 150 hp and a torque of 370 Nm.

Both motors are offered in combination with an automatic transmission. According to the manufacturer, the petrol Peugeot 3008 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and consumes 7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle. The "heavy fuel" modification accelerates from standstill to hundreds in 9.6 seconds and is content with 4.8 l / 100 km. fuel.

The new Peugeot 3008 offers a wide range of personalization options. Already in the basic equipment, the crossover is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, headlights with integrated daytime running lights with LED elements and LED rear lights. Optionally, for standard equipment, you can order a black roof or a panoramic roof with a sliding panel above the driver and front passenger. And for the execution of the GT-Line, a two-tone body design is also available for an extra charge.

The interior space of the crossover is organized in accordance with the Peugeot i-Cockpit concept with a digital dashboard cluster, a compact sports-type steering wheel and an 8-inch touchscreen display of the media complex deployed to the driver. For a surcharge or in top-end equipment, the 3008 can be equipped with the Peugeot i-Cockpit Amplify add-on, which is responsible for adjusting the brightness of the backlight around the perimeter, the intensity of the front seat massagers, fragrance, steering “sharpness”, responsiveness of the gas pedal and automatic transmission speed.

In addition, the following options are available for the 3008: adaptive cruise control with a full stop function, traffic sign recognition system, forward collision warning and emergency braking at "city" speed, lane keeping assistant, adaptive high beam, blind spot monitoring and system driver fatigue control. Seats can be upholstered in several types of wear-resistant fabric, combined materials (fabric/leather) or dark leather.

Serial production of the Peugeot 3008 has been launched in France.
