Updated hatchback Peugeot  208  outwardly differs from the pre-styling version with slightly updated headlights, a different design of the front bumper and taillights, which received three pronounced “strokes”, like in 308th  models. Also, the car for the first time received a six-speed "automatic" (for two top-end engines).

Peugeot has worked on optimizing the entire engine range of the model. The list of powertrains for Europe includes a 1.0-liter gasoline engine that develops 68 hp, a 1.2-liter unit with 82 hp. and its turbocharged version with 110 hp. Diesel versions of the hatch are equipped with a 1.6-liter engine from the Blue HDI family, which will be available in three power options at once - 75, 100 or 120 hp. At the same time, the stop / start system is installed on all units except for the weakest diesel engine.

The new multimedia system of the 208th is represented by a 7-inch touch screen in the front panel. It supports operation via Bluetooth and is equipped with a USB connector. After synchronization with a smartphone, the image from the screen of the latter can be duplicated on a car display. 

In addition, Europeans will be offered a "charged" modification of the GTi 30th Anniversary, which was developed by the company's sports division. In the engine compartment of the special version is a 1.6-liter THP gasoline engine with a return of 208 hp. Such a Peugeot 208 stands out from its “brothers” with a black radiator grille, chrome window trim, 17-inch wheels and a black leather interior stitched with red threads.
