Peugeot RCZ R is a charged version of a front-wheel drive coupe with a 2 + 2 seating formula. The world premiere of the car took place in the fall of 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Thanks to the use of a more efficient turbocharger, the French managed to increase the power of the 1.6-liter engine from 200 to 270 hp. At the same time, the engine torque has increased from 275 to 330 Nm and is now available in the range from 1,900 to 5,500 rpm.
In addition, the two-door received other springs and shock absorbers, which increased the stiffness of the suspension in front by 14%, and in the rear - by 44%. To increase the drive, the engineers installed a self-block from Torsen, which effectively turns the car into turns. Thanks to this, the effort on the steering wheel has become “cleaner”, and its information content is higher. In addition, the car received more powerful 380 mm brake discs.
The curb weight of the coupe is 1,280 kg. From zero to hundreds, a two-door with a manual six-speed gearbox accelerates in 5.9 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
In order to emphasize the sporty character, the interior was decorated with red stitching. In addition to everything, the charged version of the Peugeot RCZ R is equipped with 19-inch wheels and a fixed wing on the trunk lid.
