Updated 508 family debuted summer 2014. The model received a number of stylistic changes to the front of the body, acquired fully LED optics and an extended list of additional equipment. The novelty is presented in the Active and Allure trim levels (in Europe, these are the second and third equipment levels).
The restyled 508 received a different design of the front end with full LED optics, made in accordance with the brand's new corporate identity.
In the interior, attention is drawn to the new multimedia system with a seven-inch touch screen, which has Internet access, allowing the driver to learn about the nearest free parking lots, traffic jams, weather and other information.
The dashboard has also changed, and in the top version of the sedan, a projection display perched behind it. The model can be equipped with the function of tracking dead zones, automatic switching of high beams to low beams, four-zone climate control and a JBL audio system.
The list of basic equipment of the initial version includes: 7-inch touch screen, rain and light sensors, rear parking sensors, 2-zone climate control, 6 airbags, leather steering wheel, 16-inch alloy wheels and other equipment. The Allure version adds a start/stop system (diesel engines), an additional color display above the dashboard, navigation, LED headlights, and 17-inch alloy wheels to this list. For a surcharge, you can order automatic 4-zone climate control, a blind spot sensor, a rear view camera and other options.
Updated Peugeot 508 offered with one petrol 1.6-liter THP with 156 hp. and two diesel engines: a 2.0-liter BlueHDi with a return of 180 hp. and 1.6-liter BlueHDi, which produces 120 hp. The engines are paired with a six-speed "automatic" of a new generation, in combination with which the most productive unit according to the passport consumes 4.3 liters of diesel fuel in mixed mode.
For the station wagon 508 and the "all-terrain" version of the RXH, a diesel-hybrid power plant with a two-liter engine with 163 hp is offered. and a 37-horsepower electric motor that drives the wheels of the rear axle. The units can work either together or separately, depending on the mode selected by the driver.
Serial production of the Peugeot 508 has been launched in France.
