On board the new Peugeot 308, the driver is at the heart of a real cockpit: an extremely innovative and extremely comfortable arrangement of space, dubbed the Peugeot i-Cockpit.

At the XXIX International Automobile Festival, the Peugeot i-Cockpit salon was named "The most beautiful interior design - 2013". This arrangement of the driver's seat and front panel meets a whole list of technical standards, including a sports steering wheel with a reduced diameter, and an instrument cluster located on top of the steering wheel rim at driver's eye level.

In the cabin, the large 24.6 cm (9.7 in) touchscreen, facing the driver, immediately catches the eye. It provides him with simple and convenient access to the management of on-board systems and applications.

The new Peugeot 308 features an extremely minimalist styling that is unique in the automotive industry. Thanks to the elegant, flowing, sporty lines of the body, it immediately gives the impression of a graceful and spectacular car. This technological elegance is also evident in the interior design, thanks to the Peugeot i-Cockpit concept, thoughtful layout, spacious front seats and particularly carefully selected materials.

The new Peugeot 308, whose weight has been reduced by 140 kg in the new generation, is equipped with efficient powertrains.

The engine range includes two petrol and a pair of diesel engines.

• Petrol 1.6-liter engine with 115 hp. With. equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox. With this engine, the car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds. Average fuel consumption is 6.6 l/100 km.

• The turbocharged 1.6-liter petrol engine develops a maximum output of 150 hp. and is equipped with the latest six-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 8.5 seconds. Average fuel consumption is 6.5 l/100 km.

• Diesel 1.6-liter engine with 92 hp. With. The HDi series delivers an impressive 230 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm. Equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 11.3 seconds and average fuel consumption is just 4.5 l/100 km.

• Diesel 1.6-liter engine with 120 hp from the BlueHDi series produces 300 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm. Works in tandem with a 6-speed automatic transmission EAT6. The hatchback in this configuration accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.5 seconds, and the fuel consumption in the combined cycle according to the passport is 3.7 l / 100 km.

HDi technology is combined with an efficient emission control system - a diesel particulate filter. As a self-cleaning system, it recycles the gas generated by the combustion of diesel fuel in the engine. The filter provides a reduction in diesel engine particulate emissions, reducing them to a significant level (0.004 g/km). This technology makes diesel engines environmentally friendly.

The six-speed automatic transmission is designed to minimize the amount of CO₂ in the exhaust gases, while simultaneously providing smooth gear changes and excellent driving dynamics.
